THE CCP HOLDS "CINEMALAYA 2022 KONEK" FOR FILMMAKERS!
The Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP), The Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP), and the Cinemalaya Foundation Inc. kicked off this year's edition of "Cinemalaya Konek," a three-day gathering to provide filmmakers an avenue to interact, network, and connect with fellow film industry players, last August 10 at the CCP Cinemalaya tent.
For its first day, there was an Interaction/Panel Discussion event which was divided into two parts, the "Cinemalaya Konek 1: Film Producing in Cinema and Streaming Platform" with film producers Alemberg Ang, Ida Del Mundo, and Daphne Chiu, followed by "Konek 2: Filmmaking and Film Programming for International Festivals," where Cinemalaya film juries Frederic Auburtin, Makiko Wakai, and Madonna Tarrayo shared their experiences in filmmaking, programming, and participation to international festivals.
FDCP Chairman & CEO Tirso S. Cruz III, Cinemalaya Foundation president Laurice Guillen, Cinemalaya Philippine Independent film festival director Chris Millano, award-winning film & TV director and Cinemalaya competition head Joey Reyes, filmmakers, and members of the press were among those who graced the first day of Cinemalaya Konek.
Cinemalaya 2022 Konek consists of three main activities including Interaction/Panel discussion, Networking & Filmmakers Night, and Business Matching slated on August 10, 12, and 13.
