THREE FILIPINO FILMMAKERS SELECTED TO JOIN BUSAN ASIAN FILM ACADEMY!
Out of 407 applicants across 35 countries, three Filipino filmmakers have made it to the final list of fellows to participate in this year's edition of CHANEL X BIFF Asian Film Academy program. April Dayne Garcia, Jan Kyle Nieva, & Jean Cheryl Tagyamon are among the 20 participants who will be producing a film with professional training and mentoring for 18 days from September 27 to October 14 in South Korea. The completed work will be officially screened during this year’s Busan International Film Festival.
Asian Film Academy (AFA) is an educational program hosted by 부산국제영화제 Busan International Film Festival (BIFF), Busan Film Commission, and GKL Foundation to foster young Asian talents and build their networks throughout Asia and is returning this year as CHANEL X BIFF Asian Film Academy in partnership with CHANEL, ending the program's hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
