37th FAP Luna Awards Winners: The Complete List
The 37th Film Academy of the Philippines (FAP) Luna Awards hailed the best of Philippine Cinema in the calendar year of 2018, with "Goyo: Ang Batang Heneral" by Jerrold Tarog bagging the Best Motion Picture trophy. Other big winners of the night were Best Director Chito Roño for "Signal Rock," Best Actor Daniel Padilla for "The Hows of Us," and Best Actress Glaiza de Castro for "Liway."
The 2019 FAP Luna Awards Night was held on November 30 at the Maybank Performing Arts Theater in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City. Actor-comedian Jon Santos was the master of ceremonies of the Philippine Cinema extravaganza that paid tribute to FAP Luna Awards Hall of Famers Willy Cruz and George Canseco, and highlighted the ongoing celebration of the Philippine Cinema Centennial.
The 37th FAP Luna Awards, organized by FAP and Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP), also recognized the Sine Sandaan: Production Companies of the Philippines Luminaries and Special Awardees Lily Monteverde for the Fernando Poe, Jr. (FPJ) Lifetime Achievement Award, Nova Villa for the Manuel de Leon Award for Exemplary Achievement, and Wenn Deramas and Soxie Topacio for the posthumous Lamberto Avellana Memorial Award.
