MANILA, PHILIPPINES— In celebration of Philippine Film Industry Month (PFIM), the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) is proud to present Sine Kabataan Short Film Festival 2024. The festival’s 7th entry will feature a diverse lineup of nine (9) short films by young filmmakers from across the regions premiering September 20-22, 2024, at the Red Carpet Cinemas in Shangri-La Plaza, Mandaluyong.

After an extensive deliberation and development process, this year’s selections highlight  youthful creativity and diversity, with a mix of genres from drama, to horror and animation, with entries exploring contemporary themes such as  identity, trauma, and aspirations,among others.

The festival will also host a series of talkback sessions with the SineKab filmmakers, offering an intimate look into their creative journeys. 

Wrapping up the festivities is an award’s night on September 22, 2024, at Red Carpet Cinemas, to recognize the filmmakers’ outstanding short film entries.
