FDCP AND TASKOVSKI FILMS ANNOUNCE THE LAUNCH OF #DOCSCONNECT DOCUMENTARY FILM LAB IN THE PHILIPPINES
MAKATI, PHILIPPINES — The Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) has partnered with Taskovski Films to launch the #DocsConnect Documentary Film Lab in the country, an intensive program designed to support Filipino documentary filmmakers. This program will guide 18 filmmakers through the early stages of developing 10 documentary projects, offering them unparalleled mentorship and training.
Filmmakers will receive expert guidance from international industry leaders, including Taskovski Films’ CEO and Founder Irena Taskovski, as well as documentary filmmakers Hubert Sauper and Alexander Goekjian. Over the course of five (5) intensive days, participants will hone their storytelling, pitching, and production skills, while exploring the challenges of documentary filmmaking. The program will also provide a unique opportunity for a select group of students to observe the filmmaking process up close.
The #DocsConnect Documentary Film Lab is set to run from January 16-20, 2025.
