FDCP Celebrates National Heritage Month with Free Screenings of Classic Filipino Films Nationwide
MANILA, PHILIPPINES, MAY 26, 2022 — In line with the celebration of the National Heritage Month, the Philippine Film Archive (PFA) of the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) is holding free film screenings of classic Filipino films online and onsite in SM Cinema movie theaters, the Metropolitan Theater, and FDCP Cinematheque centres from May 20 to 30.

Philippines Announces 2022 Film Recipients in Cannes
CANNES, FRANCE, MAY 23, 2022 — During its hosting of the Philippine-Singapore Pavilion at the 75th Cannes Film Festival and Marche du Film, the FilmPhilippines Office (FPO) of the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) announced six recipients of its FilmPhilippines Incentives Program First Cycle of 2022 who will be receiving over PHP 42 M (approx. 803,000 USD) worth of production funding. The announcement came during the Daily Networking Hour hosted by the Agency where it officially launched FilmPhilippines.

CANNES, FRANCE, MAY 23, 2022 — For its third year, the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) introduced five Filipino film producers at the Cannes Film Festival and Marche du Film’s Cannes Producers Network as a Spotlight Country during the CPN Breakfast Meeting last May 23 in the Plage De Palmes Lerins. Producers E Del Mundo, Joyce Bernal, Pamela Reyes, Cecilia Mejia, and Carlo Valenzona comprised this year’s Spotlight producers.

PH and France National Film Agencies Sign New Cooperation Agreement
MANILA, PHILIPPINES, MAY 20, 2022 — To mark the celebration of 75 years of diplomatic relations between France, the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) and Centre National du Cinéma et de l'image animée or National Centre for Cinematography (CNC) of France renewed the cooperation agreement between the two agencies last May 18, 2022 at the Philippine-Singapore Pavilion during the 75th Cannes Film Festival and Marché du Film.
