MANILA, PHILIPPINES, JUNE 23, 2022 — The PeliKULAYa International LGBTQIA+ Film Festival of the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) is holding free screenings of LGBTQIA+-themed feature and short films on June 23 and 25 in Gateway Cinema, Gateway Cinema 1, 4th Floor Gateway Mall, General Malvar Ave, Cubao, Quezon City.

Pelikulaya International LGBTQIA+ Film Fest Spotlights Queer Filipino Films with Spectra Section

As part of the Film Development Council of the Philippines’ (FDCP) Pelikulaya: LGBTQIA+ International Film Festival, the Spectra Pelikula section showcases fourteen (14) award-winning Filipino films that explores and touches on issues relevant to the LGBTQIA+ community in different venues and platforms until June 25, 2022.

Twenty birthday wishes for FDCP'S 20th anniversary

This June is a busy month for #TeamFDCP. To celebrate and spotlight our LGBTQIA+ community, "Pelikulaya" goes international on its second year with the support of our partner embassies. It is now a bigger celebration than last year including multiple screenings of local and foreign films in multiple locations across the country, talkback sessions, a film competition and many more. We also launched the book Alternative Cinema by esteemed film scholar Nick Deocampo in partnership with the University of the Philippines Press.

FDCP, CHED to Premiere 10 Shorts at the Cineiskool Short Film Lab and Festival in Gateway Cinema

MANILA, PHILIPPINES, June 21, 2022 — Partner agencies Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) and the Commission on Higher Education-Unified Student Financial System for Tertiary Education (CHED-UniFAST) are finally showcasing the ten (10) short films produced under the CineIskool Short Film Lab and Festival in a premiere and awards night happening in-person at the Gateway Mall, Quezon City on June 22, 2022, to be followed by two days of screening, panel discussion, and talkback sessions on June 23 and June 25. This culminating set of activities will be capping the joint project of the two government agencies, FDCP and CHED-UniFAST, which began its initial talks in 2020 and was launched last 2021.

MANILA, PHILIPPINES, JUNE 10, 2022 — This year’s PeliKULAYa International LGBTQIA+ Film Festival, organized by the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) and co-presented by TBA Studios, officially kicks off with the Philippine theatrical premiere of Isabel Sandoval’s award-winning and critically-acclaimed film Lingua Franca on June 10 in Cinematheque Centres across the Philippines for only PHP 200.

Manila Times College Subic and FDCP Partner for Filmmaking Workshop Series for Students

MANILA, PHILIPPINES, JUNE 8, 2022 — The Manila Times College of Subic (TMTCS) in partnership with the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) will be holding a series of in-person workshops on basic filmmaking through the FDCP  Film School open to senior high school and college students from TMTCS as well as interested college students from Subic and its surrounding cities. The series will run all Saturdays and Sundays between June 11 to July 2, 2022 and will be held at the TMTCS campus in Subic Bay Freeport Zone, Olongapo City.
