By virtue of Presidential Proclamation 1085, signed in 2021, the month of September is declared as the Philippine Film Industry Month to recognize and celebrate the achievements of the stakeholders of the industry.

THE CCP HOLDS "CINEMALAYA 2022 KONEK" FOR FILMMAKERS!
The Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP), The Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP), and the Cinemalaya Foundation Inc. kicked off this year's edition of "Cinemalaya Konek," a three-day gathering to provide filmmakers an avenue to interact, network, and connect with fellow film industry players, last August 10 at the CCP Cinemalaya tent.

THE PHILIPPINES IS A SPOTLIGHT COUNTRY AT HOLLYSHORTS!
The Film Development Council of the Philippines’ (FDCP) UniPhilippines program is bringing seven Filipino short films as part of the Country Spotlight: Philippines happening at the 18th HollyShorts Film Festival from August 11 to 20.
The participating Filipino films will be screened onsite at the TCL Chinese Theater in Los Angeles, CA on August 14, followed by the “In Conversation: Filipino filmmakers in the US” panel discussion organized in partnership with the FDCP.
