MANILA, PHILIPPINES, NOVEMBER 8, 2022 — In line with its goal to bring world cinema to the Philippines, the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) is set to screen Cannes Film Festival official selection titles in the QCinema International Film Festival from November 18 to 25.

FDCP Celebrates World Day for Audiovisual Heritage
MANILA, PHILIPPINES, NOVEMBER 7, 2022 — The Film Development Council of the Philippines joined the worldwide celebration of World Day for Audiovisual Heritage through talks and film screenings at the Cinematheque Centre Manila last October 27, 2022. A two-day screening of Asian heritage films was also held at the same venue as part of the festivities last November 3–4, 2022.

MANILA, PHILIPPINES, OCTOBER 29, 2022 — The International Film Industry Conference (IFIC), an international platform hosted by the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) geared towards bringing together international and local industry professionals to share and discuss the latest trends, developments, and cooperation opportunities, will be holding its sixth edition in hybrid format from November 18 to 20 at Novotel Manila Araneta Center in Quezon City and online via Zoom and Facebook.
PH Delegation Closes Participation at the Busan International Film Festival; Brings Home 5 Awards
MANILA, PHILIPPINES, OCTOBER 24, 2022 —The Philippine delegation at the Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) and its industry arm, the Asian Contents & Film Market (ACFM), led by the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP), concluded its participation in South Korea last October 14, 2022. Two Filipino works, The Atom Araullo Specials: Munting Bisig (Young Arms) and Mother Maybe (Inahing Baka), and three Filipino scholars, Jan Kyle Nieva, April Dayne Garcia, and Jean Cheryl Tagyamon, received awards during the festival.

FDCP Film Talks at Doon Po Sa Amin sa Batangas Digital Film Festival 2022
The Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP), in cooperation with the Batangas Provincial Government and the Batangas Forum, brings FDCP Film Talks at Doon Po Sa Amin sa Batangas Digital Film Festival 2022, a series of free online workshops on filmmaking which started last October 11 and will run until November 8, 2022.
The subjects of the workshops will cover various fields of filmmaking including film language, sound design, musical scoring, editing, and scriptwriting. Participants will be mentored by some of the industry’s most respected filmmakers.
