In celebration of Home Movie Day, the Film Development Council of the Philippines’ Philippine Film Archive is offering free media material inspection services and archive tours on October 15 at the FDCP Main Office in Manila!


FDCP Conducts Free Filmmaking Workshops at the Batangas Digital Film Festival

MANILA, PHILIPPINES, 12 October 2022 — The Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP), in cooperation with the Batangas Provincial Government and the Batangas Forum, brings FDCP Film Talks at Doon Po Sa Amin sa Batangas Digital Film Festival 2022, a series of free online workshops on filmmaking which started last October 11 and will run until November 8, 2022.

Philippines Goes to Busan International Film Festival in South Korea

MANILA, PHILIPPINES, OCTOBER 10, 2022 — The Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) leads the Philippine delegation to the biggest film festival in Asia, the Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) happening in South Korea from October 5 to 14. Five (5) official selection films, three (3) films for market screenings, one (1) Philippine pavilion, seventeen (17) production companies, 31 filmmakers, ten (10) scholars, and three (3) FDCP-led Philippine events comprise the country’s representation to this year’s BIFF.

FDCP Concludes Philippine Film Industry Month; Unveils Upcoming Programs and Official Oscar Entry

Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino 6 Announces Short Film Competition Winners

MANILA, PHILIPPINES, SEPTEMBER 22, 2022 — The Film Development Council of the Philippines’ (FDCP) flagship film festival, Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino (PPP), announced the winners of the Sine Kabataan Short Film Lab and Festival and the Sine Isla: LuzViMinda Short Film Competition last September 16 at the Cinema 6 of TriNoma Mall in Quezon City. 

FDCP, SEAPAVAA Launches ‘Keeping Memories: Cinema and Archiving in the Asia-Pacific’

MANILA, PHILIPPINES, SEPTEMBER 22, 2022 — The Philippine Film Archive (PFA) of the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP), in partnership with the South East Asia Pacific Audio-visual Archive Association (SEAPAVAA), hosted the book launch of Keeping Memories: Cinema and Archiving in the Asia-Pacific edited by esteemed film historian and filmmaker Nick Deocampo last Wednesday, September 21 at the Cinematheque Centre Manila. 

Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino 6 to Premiere Youth, Regional Shorts Competition Films

MANILA, PHILIPPINES, SEPTEMBER 15, 2022 — The Film Development Council of the Philippines’ (FDCP) annual flagship film festival, Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino (PPP), will offer fresh narratives from the youth and the regions featuring free screenings of the finalists from the Sine Kabataan Short Film Lab and Festival and Sine Isla: LuzViMinda Short Film Competition on September 16 to 18 2022 at TriNoma Cinema in Quezon City, and from September 16 to 24 in Cinematheque Centres nationwide. PPP will hold the premiere and awards night on September 16 at Cinema 6 of TriNoma Cinema.
