FDCP Releases 5th Advisory on the Extension of DEAR PROGRAM to May 15, 2020

Relative to the activation of the FDCP DISASTER/EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE AND RELIEF (DEAR) PROGRAM, a disaster-triggered funding mechanism of the Film Development Council of the Philippines that provides financial assistance to its stakeholders who are directly affected by a major natural disaster and the release of Executive Order No. 112 which, among others, imposed an Enhanced Community Quarantine in high-risk geographic areas of the Philippines from May 1-15, 2020, the following guidelines are hereby ordered:
1. Extension of Deadline. Application for the DEAR Program has been extended to May 15, 2020, 6:00 PM.
2. Availability of Funds. The release of assistance shall be subject to the FDCP’s availability of funds for the program which may depleted prior to the end of the application period.
3. Coverage. The extension shall apply to DEAR ACTION, DEAR PRESS and DEAR LIVE and may be accepted via the DEAR Website at http://fdcp.ph/dear-application.
4. Disbursement of Financial Support. As long as funds are available, the concerned FDCP personnel shall issue the financial support directly to the affected worker’s bank account or via available money remittance services at the soonest possible time upon the approval of the application.
For approved applications for workers applied for by Companies, the Company will receive the assistance from FDCP and shall award the benefits to each worker as soon as possible and then submit a report to FDCP on each worker’s written and signed acknowledgement of the amount.
5. Effectivity. This Order shall take effect as soon as approved.
